Cincinnati SportsMedicine sponsored the 2012 YWCA Career Women of Achievement Luncheon which increases community awareness and appreciation for the diverse contributions of women in the work force and in the community. Over 2000 people attended the event, including Dr. Michelle Andrews and invited guests of Cincinnati SportsMedicine, making it the largest in attendance since it began in 1980. Deborah Roberts, news anchor for Good Morning America and World News Weekend, was the keynote speaker.

Queen City Gymnastics, a well respected gymnastics club in Sycamore Township, hosted the 2012 Men’s USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic National Championships at the Duke Energy Center on May 8th to May 13th. Cincinnati SportsMedicine provided the medical care for the event.

Dr. Michelle Andrews offered advice to the Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village on “Staying Active with Knee and Shoulder Pain”. Over 80 Residents attended the presentation and they learned how to manage and treat various conditions when they develop. Dr. Andrews treats patients at our Tri-County and Montgomery locations and has been voted “Top Doctor in Cincinnati”, “Best Doctor in America”, and one of the top 125 Knee Surgeons in America as determined by Becker’s Orthopaedic Review, a Chicago Based Company.

Dr. Matt Busam recently gave a presentation at the Gamble-Nippert YMCA to help runners “Get to the Next Level”. An avid runner and member of the Flying Pig Wellness Team, Dr. Busam informed those in attendance on good versus bad pain, treating injuries and the latest medical recommendations as a person is preparing for their run, whether it’s a 5K or a full marathon. Dr. Busam sees patients at our Western Hills office and Crestview Hills, KY office.

The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Women’s Sports Association held their annual awards banquet to recognize the achievements of high school athletes, collegiate athletes, and coaches who participate and excel in girls’ and women’s sports.    Cincinnati SportsMedicine was again a proud sponsor of the event.   Dr. Michelle Andrews and Dr. Matt Busam were presenting sponsors and Hall of Fame Coach & Head Women’s basketball coach at The University of Notre Dame was the guest speaker.  Over 350 people attended the event.
