Lissa Meiners was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Saint Louis University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2003 and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2005. Lissa also was a member of the women’s soccer team for two years. She completed clinical internships in Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio. She previously worked in an outpatient, orthopaedic physical therapy center in Cincinnati for approximately three years treating a variety of injuries and specializing in aquatic physical therapy. Lissa also became involved in the community through being a goalkeeper trainer with the Beechmont Soccer Club, helping at the LAX Fest lacrosse tournament and working injury clinics at Bob Roncker’s Running Spot.
Lissa joined Cincinnati Sports Medicine in December of 2007 with three years of experience in outpatient, orthopaedic and sports rehabilitation. She is currently taking courses through Saint Louis University and working towards her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She will earn the degree Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2008. Lissa enjoys working with all types of orthopaedic and sports-related injuries, with an interest in assisting athletes in returning to their pre-injury performance level.
In her free time, Lissa enjoys spending time with friends and family. She continues to enjoy participating in sports including softball, sand volleyball, and golf. She also enjoys watching high school, college, and professional sports. Lissa is an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds fan. She continues to help, as needed, with the goalkeeper training for Beechmont Soccer Club.
