Julie Jasontek is a licensed physical therapist in Ohio and Kentucky. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from The Ohio State University and later obtained a Masters Degree in Health and Science from the University of Indianapolis. Julie specializes in orthopaedics and sports physical therapy.

Julie was initially employed at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn. in the outpatient physical therapy department. She treated patients with neurological and orthopaedic conditions. She developed an aquatic therapy program, teaching patients to regain range of motion and strength using water resistance.

Julie joined Cincinnati SportsMedicine in 1995. She is a clinical instructor for physical therapy students from across the U.S. who choose Cincinnati SportsMedicine as a clinical site for internship opportunities. Julie lectures in coaches clinics for area high school coaches and for the sports medicine symposium “Advances on the Knee & Shoulder” held in Hilton Head Island, SC. Julie also volunteers at the Bob Roucker’s Running Spot injury clinics.

Julie is an accomplished synchronized swimmer. While a member of the The Ohio State University’s synchronized swimming team, Julie was named Collegiate All-American and Collegiate Academic All-American. She was a 4-year scholar athlete at Ohio State and competed nationally, earning the National Collegiate Champion titles from 1989 – 1992. In 1995, she was the U.S. Open Duet and Figures champion. Julie served on the U.S. Synchronized Swimming Board of Directors as an Athlete Representative, and served as the physical therapist for the U.S. Junior National Synchronized Swimming team during the World Championships in Montreal. In addition, she is the choreographer and an assistant coach for the Cincinnati Synchrogators, a local age group team. Julie has coached the Synchrogators to two National Championship titles in 2008 and 2009.

Julie is currently the North Zone education chair for US Synchronized Swimming. She organizes clinics and instructs at various camps throughout the North and Midwest United States.
